FAQ
What does CKD mean for truck bodies?
CKD (Completely Knocked Down) means the truck body is shipped as flat-packed modular components: wall panels, floor panels, roof panels, door assemblies, chassis frame, and hardware kit. The customer (or their local workshop) assembles the body on-site using bolt-together connections — no welding required. This saves 30-40% on international shipping costs compared to shipping fully assembled truck bodies, which waste container space with their empty interior volume.
How long does CKD assembly take?
A trained crew of 2-3 workers can assemble one dry freight truck body in approximately 2-4 hours using standard hand tools and a torque wrench. No welding, no specialized equipment. We provide detailed assembly instructions with each CKD kit, and can arrange video call support for first-time assembly. After the first unit, subsequent assemblies go faster as the crew gains familiarity with the bolt patterns and sequence.
Can I customize the dimensions and door configuration?
Yes. Our standard models (LS300/LS400/LS450) cover the most common size ranges, but we produce fully custom dimensions to match any chassis. Customizable parameters include: length, width, height, door configuration (rear swing, side swing, side sliding, roll-up), floor load rating, interior features (folding shelves, cargo bars, tie-down points), and exterior color/branding.
