Unpack Components
Receive flat-packed panels, frame profiles, hardware kit, and assembly instructions. Inspect for shipping damage.
Assemble Floor Frame
Bolt aluminum floor profiles to steel chassis interface brackets. Level and square the frame.
Install Floor Panel
Place CFRT composite floor panel onto frame. Secure with fasteners at designated points.
Raise Wall Panels
Lift side wall panels into vertical position. Bolt to floor frame and connect wall-to-wall corner profiles.
Install Roof Panel
Place roof panel on top of wall assemblies. Secure with roof-to-wall connection profiles.
Install Doors & Hardware
Mount rear and side doors with pre-drilled hinges. Install locking hardware, gaskets, and corner protectors.
Final Inspection
Check all bolt torques, door alignment, gasket compression, and overall squareness. Apply sealant to joints.
Tools required: socket wrench set, torque wrench, level, tape measure, sealant gun. Detailed assembly manual included with every CKD kit.

What does CKD stand for?
CKD stands for Completely Knocked Down. It is a shipping and assembly method where a product (in this case, a truck body or travel trailer shell) is shipped as individual components — flat-packed panels, structural profiles, and a hardware kit — rather than as an assembled unit. The customer assembles the product at their location. This contrasts with CBU (Completely Built Up), where the product ships fully assembled.
How much does CKD save on shipping costs?
CKD saves 30-40% on international shipping costs compared to CBU. The key economics: an assembled truck body (CBU) is mostly empty interior space — you are paying to ship air. A 40-foot container fits only 1 assembled truck body. The same container fits 4-6 CKD truck body kits because flat-packed panels stack efficiently. For a typical dry freight body, shipping cost drops from $3,000-5,000 per unit (CBU) to $800-1,500 per unit (CKD).
Do CKD truck bodies require welding to assemble?
No. Our CKD system uses bolt-together connections exclusively. All panels and profiles have pre-drilled mounting holes. Assembly requires only standard hand tools (socket wrench set, torque wrench) and takes 2-4 hours per unit with 2-3 workers. No welding, no specialized equipment. We provide detailed assembly instructions and offer video call support for first-time assembly. This means even customers without heavy fabrication capability can assemble professional-grade truck bodies.
Are CKD truck bodies as strong as welded bodies?
Yes, when properly assembled. Our bolt-together joints are engineered for the specific load paths in a truck body — the bolted connections distribute load across aluminum profiles rather than concentrating stress at weld points. Additionally, composite panels are inherently more impact-resistant and fatigue-resistant than welded steel panels. The bolted design also enables field repair — a damaged panel can be unbolted and replaced without cutting or re-welding, reducing downtime and repair cost.
