How do PP honeycomb panels compare to traditional materials like plywood and metal?
PP honeycomb panels offer significant advantages: 30-50% lighter than plywood at equivalent strength, 100% waterproof (unlike plywood which absorbs moisture and delaminates), corrosion-resistant (unlike metal panels), recyclable thermoplastic material, and superior impact resistance. The honeycomb structure provides excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio. Main trade-off is lower heat resistance compared to metal (suitable up to 80-100°C depending on grade).
